Snappy Snaps - Croatia

I've just returned from the post amazing week in Croatia with the boy. The heat was searing, the food was great, the ice cream was flowing and the view was spectacular. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the sea is probably the most relaxing sound.

We rented a beautiful old fisherman's cottage in Postira on the island of Brac. The beauty of a fisherman's cottage is the instant sea access, no need to go a crowded beach and instant fridge access. Win win. Also the view was pretty spectacular.

On only one day did we venture out of the village... shame on us. We took a day trip to Hvar which provided ample people (and yacht) watching and holiday destination of choice for Beyonce last year . Oh how the other half live!

We enjoyed many a chat with the old lady next door despite our lack of Croatian and her lack of English causing major problems. All we established in the end was the name of her cat

I spent quite a bit of time travelling in Croatia last year and i thoroughly recommend a visit if you are looking for some unspoilt coastline. Have you visited Croatia?
