When I was younger i loved the Avon catalogue. The scented pages, the cheap as chips 'Colour Trend' range and i remember having a particular fondness for the scent of a Shea lip butter. As time moved on i think i, wrongly, became a bit 'snobby' towards Avon.
Roll forward a few years and i flicked through a catalogue when i was at my parents house and become excited by the visuals for the Smoke and Mirrors collection. Avon seemed to have moved up a notch. Admittedly the prices excited me too and the game of a less risky Russian roulette was on.
I picked up these two beauties a couple of weeks ago and they haven't left my side since, quite something for somebody as fickle as myself. Blackberry is a deep eggplant with a gold glitter, Golden Fawn a light silvery taupe which is probably my favourite.
These stay put, are flattering colours, are silky smooth and come with a more than attractive price point.Think along the lines of a smoother Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, with £10 off of the price.
As these were part of a collection I'm presuming they are limited edition but you can buy them here for
here for £3 (down from £6). I'm pretty tempted to order a back up of Golden Fawn as it is the perfect brightening but defining under eye colour.
These have definitely reignited my interest in Avon products and i think i will pick up the new 'Ideal Flawless' foundation next time. Obviously not down to the endorsement by Alesha Dixon but some favourable reviews from you lovely ladies!
